Mt. Edgecumbe is the volcano visible from Sitka, across Sitka Sound. We were returning from a hike to the summit on one of those most beautiful days when the sun shines brightly against a sky of dark clouds. The twisted boughs of an old hemlock frame the walk back nicely.
