|   |   | Water shapes our lives in southeast Alaska. It rains so much here, that sometimes when the sun comes out during the day you can see everyone stepping out of their workplaces to look around at a small patch of blue sky or the mountains appearing for the first time in days or weeks. It is a happy time when we are all reminded of our common love for this place. With the importance of water here, I enjoy exploring the flow of water through the landscape, whether over a rock and through a streambed, as clouds flowing over a ridge and into the next valley, or as ocean waves washing upon the shore. |
