|   |   | Southeast Alaska is perhaps more beautiful for its heavy rainfall than it would be if the sun shone most of the time. The abundance of rain and clouds makes for an ever-changing landscape. Clouds drifting through the trees high above you, sweeping rainstorms passing by and leaving a sparkling wake make for beautiful moments. But my absolute favorite scene is when a whole valley pours forth its fog into another valley, whether over a ridge and down into a bowl as we see here, or up the steep sides of a sharp rocky ridge and down the other side. |
